Dropping out is a problem that affects us all.

David needs help with his homework. If his parents work double shifts, how far below the poverty line will David’s income be?

What’s the solution?

Anne is four weeks behind in Math. If a tutor costs $30/hour and she only has $40/week, at what age will Anne find full-time employment?

What’s the solution?

Heather needs tutoring. If her parents need ⅔ of their money for rent and ⅓ for food, how many federal elections will Heather not vote in?

Donate before December 31 and your gift will be matched to help more students graduate from high school.

Graduation is the answer to a stronger Canada.

Dropping out of high school can limit a young person’s potential for the rest of their lives.
When youth living in low-income communities receive the support they need to succeed, we all benefit.

Financial Benefits

High school graduation better positions young people for skilled employment, helping to increase lifetime earnings and break the cycle of generational poverty.

Civic Benefits

High school graduates are more likely to vote, volunteer, donate to charitable causes, and give back to their communities.

Economic Benefits

Increasing the high school graduation rate will fuel economic growth, reduce reliance on social assistance, and boost tax revenue.

When students living in low-income communities graduate from high school, their families aren’t the only ones with a reason to celebrate. Graduation is the key to a more equitable economy, a healthier population, and a better future for all Canadians.

Why Pathways?

When you support the award-winning Pathways to Education Program, you’re helping young people across Canada. Our combination of academic, financial, social, and one-on-one supports is proven to remove barriers to graduation and empower students to pursue their passions.

  • Through tutoring and tailored study plans, Pathways tutors and staff keep students on track with their studies. They also help youth stick to healthy routines and build habits that support learning.
  • Pathways provides students with both short- and long-term financial supports, like lunch vouchers, transit passes, and scholarships for post-secondary education or training.
  • Pathways staff connect students with mentors who can provide career guidance and advice. Pathways mentors are professionals in various fields, providing youth with valuable industry knowledge and giving them opportunities to build a network that can help them beyond high school.
  • Personalized support from a Pathways staff member ensures that all students have a trusted adult they can turn to for advice or guidance throughout their high school journey.

Our network of volunteers, staff members, and alumni grows every day with your support. Together, we can continue to have a transformative impact on young people, their communities, and our collective future.
